Centaurea, Rosy Lilac (Centaurea americana)

Centaurea americana, also known as American Basket Flower, is an annual native to the southern central United States. Rosy Lilac has puffy feathery lilac flower heads 10-12cm across. It has a rich honey-like fragrance. It blooms from late Spring to Summer.

Easy to grow. Great for cut flowers, a beneficial insect attractant.
