Nicola is a waxy variety that is yellow-fleshed potato with a creamy buttery flavour. Many sorts after by chefs.
They are firm potatoes and will hold their shape after boiling, making them perfect for salads. They make a dense creamy mash and are good for roasting.

Growing detail: Potatoes grow well in good-drained, fertile soil with a PH of 6.0- 7.0 Potatoes can be planted in early to mid-Spring as they can tolerate cool soil and moderate frost.
Cut tubers into pieces roughly 3cm cube with at least one eye per piece. Small tubers can be planted whole. Potato shoots will emerge 2- 3 weeks later.
