Onion Purplette (A. cepa)  

Also known as pearl onion, Purplette is an early maturing mini onion variety that produces golf ball-sized onions with attractive purple skin. The flesh has a crisp texture and the flavour is excellent, mild yet sweet. They are fantastic in fresh salads and roast veggies.
