Potato onions are closely related to shallots and are more commonly grown by replanting the bulbs than by starting from seed. These multiplier onions are easy to grow and very productive.

Potato Onions are versatile; you can harvest leaf growth in early spring to use as “spring greens.” While the mature bulbs keep extremely well and can be stored in the home through the winter months until they are needed for cooking. They are milder and sweeter taste than regular onions.

Great for roasting and pickling.
