Potato Purple Congo
Purple Congo is a unique looking potato that has dark purple skin and striking purple flesh. This amazing variety is packed full of all the good antioxidants and retains the unusual colour once cooked. Also, this variety has proven itself to be a very disease-resistant potato.
Growing detail: Potatoes grow well in good- drained, fertile soil with a PH of 6.0- 7.0 Potatoes can be planted in early to mid-Spring as they can tolerate cool soil and moderate frost.
Cut tubers into pieces, roughly 3cm cube with at least one eye per piece. Small tubers can be planted whole. Potato shoots will emerge 2- 3 weeks later.
Harvest: 70 – 110 days
