Also known as the 'Monstrueux de Viroflay(Monster of Viroflay ) This classic French heirloom spinach is known for its monstrous leaves that can grow up to 60 cm long. It produces lightly savoyed green leaves with a delicate flavor. It has lower levels of oxalic acid than other varieties — Ready for baby leaf harvest in just 21 days!

Growing Details: Sow spinach seeds in Spring or Autumn. Spinach germinates best in cool soil. Spinach is a heavy feeder and has shallow roots, so keep the soil moist, cool and mulch well. If the seeds are sown in soil over 30 °C, resulting in low or erratic germinations.
