Tomatillo Yellow (Physalis ixocarpa)

Tomatillo Yellow originates from Mexico and Central America. The purple colour develops after the tomatillos mature and burst open their papery husks. Yellow tomatillos are tender, juicy, and crisp with a subtle, sweet flavor reminiscent of honeydew. Tomatillo salsa verde is by far the most popular way to eat tomatillos. Also, they can be roasted and served as a side dish and make excellent jams and chutneys.
